  • 12th – Physics, Chemistry Mathematics (minimum 60%)
  • AIEEE, DCE, BCECE and various state level competitive examinations are conducted in our country for the engineering aspirants to get admission into B.Tech, B.E, B.Arch courses which are offered by various noted engineering colleges
  • Tamil Nadu Only cut off marks (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) are considered
3. Course Duration    12th – 4years
Diploma/ Polytechnic – 3years

 Trend in engineering profession

In mid 90’s and early 2000’s it is true that there were huge demand in engineering profession. After 2005-06 the environment slightly changed and now requirement of engineering profession become stagnate.

In other way we can say that the demand is more or less equal as compared to early 2000’s but on other side the supply is dramatically increased. As we aware that India is home for more than 3300 engineering colleges (Tamil Nadu- 600, Andhra Pradesh-550, Maharashtra-350, Karanataka-150 and Kerala-100).

Every year across India almost 2.5 million (25 lakh) engineering students are coming out.

So, while selecting engineering profession along with division need to assess the current and future trend of that division.
