Details of Vocational Courses after 10th

Earlier students did not have many options to choose, historically students use to select courses from commerce, arts and science streams. But now there are two more streams diploma and vocational courses are introduced.   

  • In 10th very low score or fail?
  • In 12th you got low score not eligible for higher studies or fail?
  • You want to start self employment immediately?
  • You wanted to go job after short period of time?

In addition,

  • Many of the youth wants to get a job after 10th, but they are lacking the proper information.
  • If you feel that you are one of them, it is not possible for you to continue further studies and you want to start earning money then vocational course is a right option for you.
  • Vocational courses are ideal for students who are unable to get higher education owing to many reasons or those who don’t have excellent academic background/ economically weak background.

The changing face of technology has increased the demand of specialization in education. Vocational Education training (VET) institutes impart specialized and practical knowledge to the student and help them become independent and successful in life.

Keeping in mind the needs of various industries, a number of short term and long term courses are being offered by private as well as government institutions. In addition to getting skilled in education, it also helps in securing a well paying job.

The best part of the training institution is that even working student can join the course, and even select the timings as per their convenience and nature of job. The vocational institutes allow the students to study online and attend either evening or morning classes.

The vocational course offered can range from culinary arts, bartending, becoming a massage expert, cook, and graphic designer, pottery, dyeing expert, nursing, business administrator, restaurant and management. These days with the range of technology, the vocational program is more technically oriented as it ranges from web designing to information technology. The other vocational courses that are included in the vocational course are business, accounting, fashion designing and animation

Eligibility:

Students between 14 to 25 years of age can apply for such courses and there are age relaxations for ex-servicemen and widowed women. Academic qualification varies from course to course and usually caries from 8th to the 12th standard. In many cases one can do vocational courses at the age of 50 or above, so age is not a big hindrance for vocational courses.
